Hopefully this is the best place to ask this.
TL;DR: Want to turn small business into a website, domain from NameCheap or Google, web hosting from SiteGround, built with WordPress.
So my wife and I started a woodworking/home decor related Etsy last year. We would like to now create a website to expand and get more traffic, start a blog, provide content, etc…
We're both new to website building and hosting but are excited to learn. That said it seems theres alot to figure out between best place to get a domain, host, build, etc…
So based on research so far we are leaning towards getting a domain through Google Domain or NameCheap, then using SiteGround for hosting, building through WordPress and implementing Woocommerce.
Regarding domain is this a solid plan? Should we go with one over the other?
Regarding hosting it seems they all seem hit or miss on whether they are recommended or not, so we are open to suggestions. Also we are thinking of doing the middle "GrowBig" plan. Any reason not to? I understand its a low price now but turns into $20/month at renewal.
Does this all sound like a solid plan? Anything else we should know or look into? We are hoping to take advantage of any Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals if they are worth it.
